THORSTEN BECKER
Conceptual Framework Architect
Conceptual Framework Architect
I design reflective frameworks and visual tools that structure and guide emotional, cognitive, and sensory exploration, making the intangible more understandable and actionable.
I guide others in navigating emotional and sensory awareness across natural, built, and virtual spaces, revealing how environments shape perception, mood, and clarity.
My work is rooted in Contemplative Sensory Cartography—a methodology that maps the relationship between sensory experience, spatial context, and inner clarity. It draws from systems thinking, environmental psychology, and poetic inquiry to make emotional and perceptual dynamics visible.
Through this lens, I’ve developed Clarity Navigation, a framework that supports thoughtful decision-making, creative direction, and grounded self-guidance. It blends sensory awareness, emotional insight, and narrative structure into usable forms.
Tools like FEMS and CHORUS as well as the Sensory CIRCLE approach give shape to what’s felt but hard to name—supporting deeper awareness, honest reflection, and quiet orientation
With three decades of experience in business intelligence and systems thinking, I’ve shifted focus from measuring outcomes to understanding what shapes them.
Today, I work at the intersection of:
Emotion and cognition
Sensory experience and environmental influence
AI-supported research and intuitive decision-making
This inquiry led to the development of Contemplative Sensory Cartography, and from it, Clarity Navigation—a system for orienting and moving through complexity using perception, motion, and structured insigh
I don’t offer services in the traditional sense. Instead, I create tools, frameworks, and systems that help people explore clarity through perception, emotion, and reflection.
My work is available for:
🔹 Personal Use
My tools—FEMS, CHORUS, and Stellary—are free for non-commercial use. They run entirely in your browser, with no sign-up and no data capture.
→ No tracking. No storage. Just local reflection.
🔹 Licensed Use
If you're a therapist, educator, facilitator, or researcher interested in using my systems professionally, licensing is available.
Use includes group workshops, therapy sessions, teaching, or research—under defined ethical and non-extractive terms.
🔹 Custom AI Tools (Personal GPTs)
I develop custom GPTs and reflective AI tools based on my frameworks. These support structured thought, deepen reflection, and guide narrative or emotional mapping.
→ Available to licensed partners and research collaborators. Always human-centered.
🔹 Collaborative Research & Educational Design
I contribute to interdisciplinary projects focused on clarity, perception, and emotional dynamics—particularly within environmental psychology, neuroaesthetics, and sensory-based education.
🔹 Speaking & Guest Contributions
I occasionally give talks, lectures, or contribute to publications and curated events—especially those exploring clarity, perception, emotional systems, and the sensory self.
Below, you will find direct links to my Clarity Navigation mapping tools, which are hosted on GitHub. As mentioned, these run entirely in your browser. No personal data is stored or transmitted. All input is erased when the page is closed or refreshed.
FEMS – Fuzzy Emotion Mapping System
A visual method for exploring emotional resonance and inner clarity.
→ Launch FEMS
CHORUS – Cognitive & Narrative Structuring
A spatial tool to map thoughts, organize writing, or structure ideas.
→ Launch CHORUS
Stellary – Emotional Resonance Mapping
A multimedia tool for reflecting on mood, memory, and personal archetypes.
→ Launch Stellary
Specialized version of FEMS and CHORUS for game developers and narrative designers can be found on my GitHub.
I collaborate with those who value nuance, sensitivity, and deep attention—whether in research, teaching, design, or facilitation.
You might be:
An educator exploring emotion and perception in learning
A designer navigating narrative, resonance, or transition
A researcher mapping subtle experience, clarity, or sensory interaction
Together, we create space for grounded emergence—where insight unfolds through motion, not force.
My work is rooted in what I call Contemplative Sensory Cartography—an evolving methodology that blends philosophical inquiry, environmental psychology, and reflective mapping. It explores how sensory experience, emotional resonance, and spatial awareness shape clarity and self-perception.
This approach draws from and contributes to ongoing conversations in:
Conceptual Cartography (as defined in philosophy, education, and design)
Environmental & Sensory Psychology
Embodied Cognition and Contemplative Science
Narrative and Spatial Inquiry in Digital and Lived Environments
Though I do not work within an academic institution, I engage deeply with research, systems thinking, and transdisciplinary reflection. I welcome collaborative dialogue with educators, researchers, or institutions interested in perception, clarity, and inner mapping.
